About Kinsey

Kinsey Hauser is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist who provides therapy to individuals ages 13 and up. She creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where clients can openly explore challenges and work toward meaningful growth.

Her sessions are welcoming, trauma-informed, and personalized to each client’s goals. For those who enjoy animal-assisted support, Kinsey’s therapy dogs, Sydni and Lena, may join sessions to offer additional comfort and connection.

Kinsey is committed to walking alongside her clients as they navigate life’s struggles and move toward the life they aspire to lead.

Treatment Approach

Kinsey earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Animal Science from Iowa State University and her Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Drake University.

She has provided care across diverse clinical settings, including:

  • Inpatient psychiatric facilities

  • University police departments

  • K-12 schools

  • Equine-assisted psychotherapy programs

  • Outpatient therapy settings

This broad experience allows her to support clients with a well-rounded, adaptable approach.

Kinsey’s therapy style is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. She prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Her trauma-informed approach integrates evidence-based strategies tailored to each individual’s needs. Sessions focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and taking meaningful steps toward lasting change.

Outside of work, Kinsey enjoys spending time with her husband and son, walking her four golden retrievers, and curling up with a good book.

Her warmth and grounded presence carry into the therapy room, where she strives to create a space of safety, growth, and steady support.
