Have any questions or would you like to request more information or set up an appointment?
If wanting an appointment, please include brief note about why you're seeking therapy, as well as insurance and availability for sessions.
There’s no exact amount of time therapy should or might take. The length of time participating in therapy depends on each person's specific needs/goals. Your therapist will check in with you throughout treatment about this to make sure you're feeling comfortable and ready with the ending of treatment when that time comes.
Depending on your experience and needs, we may begin with weekly sessions and decide together what treatment plan may be of most help to you.
Medication is another tool some people utilize to help them achieve mental wellness, but is usually not a substitute for what engaging in therapy can provide for long term solutions and wellness. However, it may be helpful to combine medication and counseling to help you accomplish your personal goals for mental health.
Therapy is a really unique professional relationship, so it is really important to find a therapist that you are comfortable with and feel understands you and your needs/wants in therapy. The first step in finding the right provider for you is to find the professional whose focus areas and experience line up with the concerns you would like to address. Insurances accepted, location, cost, and credentials may be important factors to be considered as well.
It is very ok to "shop" around until you find the therapist you feel is a good match for you!
